NATURE OF WORK:
Supervisor of Assessments is the supervisory level of work in the field of real property and commercial property assessments for tax assessment purposes. The work may require travel throughout Maryland. Be advised the County Executive of Harford County, Barry Glassman, is responsible for forwarding a list of candidates for appointment to the Governor of Maryland for consideration.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The ideal incumbent should have a solid working knowledge in the valuation of real property through real estate assessment or appraisal; have a clear dedication to serving the public; and have a strong background in managerial capabilities and skill sets.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Two (2) years’ experience in a progressively responsible management position or in the valuation of real property through real estate assessment or appraisal.
